Oleg Khmelnitsky
Oleg Khmelnitsky is a Ukrainian choreographer, director, and ballet master, born in Kyiv. A graduate of the renowned Vaganova Academy in Saint Petersburg, he began his career as a soloist at the Mariinsky Ballet. He subsequently embarked on an international career, collaborating with the world's most prestigious companies, including the American Ballet Theatre, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Paris Opéra, and the Staatsballett Berlin. His work focuses mainly on staging ballets from the great classical repertoire and on his close collaboration with choreographer Alexei Ratmansky, assisting him in the creation and restaging of works such as *Don Quixote* and *Le Corsaire*. He is universally recognized for his philological rigor and his ability to transmit the style and technique of classical ballet to new generations of dancers, making him a leading figure in the world of international dance.
