
Pádraic Delaney
Pádraic Delaney (Wexford, November 6, 1977) is an Irish actor. He achieved international fame in 2006 for his role as the revolutionary Teddy O'Donovan in Ken Loach's film *The Wind That Shakes the Barley*, winner of the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. For this performance, he won an Irish Film and Television Award (IFTA) for Best Actor in a Lead Role and was honored as a Shooting Star at the 2007 Berlin International Film Festival. His career includes significant television roles, where he portrayed George Boleyn in the historical series *The Tudors* and the Templar knight Landry du Lauzon in the series *Knightfall*. On the big screen, he has appeared in films such as the Western *Blackthorn* (2011). Also active in theatre, Delaney has a solid training and numerous performances on major Irish stages, including Dublin's Abbey Theatre.
