
Paola Bechis
Paola Bechis is a volleyball coach and former Italian volleyball player, considered one of the most talented setters of her generation. During her playing career, she played for some of the most prestigious clubs in the Serie A1, including Reggio Emilia, Modena, and Foppapedretti Bergamo. Known for her court vision and technical precision, she amassed an impressive list of honors, including multiple Italian league titles (Scudetti), Coppa Italia titles, a CEV Cup, and the prestigious Champions League, which she won in 1997 with Modena. She also had a long career with the Italian national team, competing in several international competitions, with her best result being a bronze medal at the 1999 European Championships. After retiring from professional play, she began a coaching career, focusing mainly on the development of young talent and coaching teams in lower-division leagues.
