Paul Alan Partain (April 28, 1946 – January 28, 2005) was an American actor, primarily known for his iconic role as Franklin Hardesty in Tobe Hooper's 1974 cult horror film, *The Texas Chain Saw Massacre*. His performance as the paraplegic and complaining brother within the group of protagonists is considered one of the most memorable in the genre.
