Paul Azaïs (1902-1974) was a prolific French actor, one of the most recognizable and beloved supporting actors of his time. Active mainly from the 1930s to the 1960s, he specialized in the role of the "titi parisien"—the loyal and outspoken friend, often with a comedic streak—embodying the common man with great naturalness. His extensive filmography, which includes over one hundred and fifty titles, features appearances in masterpieces such as Raymond Bernard's *Wooden Crosses* (1932), Julien Duvivier's *La Belle Équipe* (1936), and Jean Renoir's *The Crime of Monsieur Lange* (1936). While he did not receive major individual awards, his greatest recognition was the constant affection of the public and the esteem of his colleagues, who considered him a reliable and talented acting partner.
