Paul Brennan
Paul Brennan is an Australian musician, composer, and percussionist, known primarily as a founding member of the influential musical group Dead Can Dance, formed in Melbourne in 1981 with Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard. Brennan left the band shortly after their move to London in 1982, before the recording of their debut album. Despite his brief tenure, his contribution remains significant: he co-wrote "The Host of Seraphim," one of the group's most celebrated tracks, featured on the album *The Serpent's Egg* (1988). Subsequently, he continued his musical career, notably renewing his collaboration with Lisa Gerrard. Their most acclaimed work is the score for the Michael Mann film *The Insider* (1999), for which Brennan and Gerrard received a Golden Globe nomination in 2000 for Best Original Score. He also founded the band The Soporifics.
