
Paul Hébert
Paul Hébert (May 28, 1924 – April 20, 2017) was a Canadian actor and theatre director, a prominent figure in Quebec's cultural scene. His career, which spanned over seventy years, featured him in leading roles in theatre, television, and film. He co-founded several major companies, including the Théâtre du Trident in Quebec City, contributing significantly to the development of institutional theatre in the region. On television, his most celebrated role was that of Siméon Desrosiers in the popular series "Le Temps d'une paix," which brought him widespread recognition among the general public. For his outstanding contribution to the arts, he received numerous accolades, including the title of Officer of the Order of Canada, Knight of the National Order of Quebec, and the prestigious Prix Denise-Pelletier in 1994, one of Quebec's highest cultural honours. His influence as a performer and a theatre pioneer makes him one of the most respected figures of his generation.
