Peter Wight is a British actor, born in Sheffield in 1950. With a strong background in theatre, he has worked extensively on the London stage, collaborating with prestigious institutions such as the National Theatre and the Royal Court Theatre. He is best known for his numerous collaborations with director Mike Leigh, appearing in acclaimed films such as *Naked* (1993), *Secrets & Lies* (1996), *Vera Drake* (2004), *Another Year* (2010), and *Mr. Turner* (2014). His versatile film career also includes roles in international productions such as *Pride & Prejudice* (2005), as Mr. Gardiner, *Babel* (2006), and *Atonement* (2007).
