Philippe Ogouz
Philippe Ogouz (Saint-Jean-d'Angély, November 20, 1939 – Paris, July 25, 2019) was a French actor, director, and voice actor. His career, which began in the late 1950s, spanned theater, cinema, and television, but he achieved his greatest notoriety in the field of dubbing, where he became one of the most recognizable voices in France. He lent his voice to renowned international actors, including William Shatner as Captain Kirk in *Star Trek*, Dustin Hoffman in iconic films such as *The Graduate* and *Kramer vs. Kramer*, and Martin Sheen. His timbre is also inextricably linked to cult characters from animation and television series, such as Captain Harlock in *Albator 84*, Musclor (He-Man) in *Masters of the Universe*, and the protagonist of the series *X-Or* (*Uchū Keiji Gavan*). In addition to his artistic work, Ogouz was an influential dubbing director and a fervent defender of artists' rights, serving for many years as president of the Syndicat Français des Artistes-Interprètes (SFA). For his cultural contributions, he was awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters.
