
Pierre Maguelon
Pierre Maguelon (Labruguière, September 3, 1933 – Perpignan, July 10, 2010) was a French actor, active in theatre, film, and television. His career, which spanned over fifty years, is inextricably linked to the role of Inspector Terrasson in the acclaimed television series *Les Brigades du Tigre*, which brought him widespread popularity. A regular in auteur cinema, he was a favorite actor of director Claude Chabrol, appearing in films such as *Le Boucher* (1970), *Poulet au vinaigre* (1985), and *Madame Bovary* (1991). In addition to his fruitful collaboration with Chabrol, he worked with directors such as Bertrand Tavernier and Costa-Gavras, demonstrating his versatility in genres ranging from drama to comedy. He began his career in theatre, working for many years with Jean Vilar at the Théâtre National Populaire. For his contribution to French culture, he was made a Knight of the National Order of Merit.
