Pietro Tordi (Spoleto, July 12, 1906 – Nepi, December 14, 1990) was an Italian actor and voice actor, one of the most representative character actors of post-war Italian cinema. His career is inextricably linked to iconic roles in *Commedia all'italiana* masterpieces, where he distinguished himself with his versatile persona, capable of shifting from gruff tones to paternal inflections. Among his most celebrated performances is that of Capannelle in Mario Monicelli's *I soliti ignoti* (1958), a character who has become part of the collective imagination. He worked with the leading directors of the era in films such as *Un americano a Roma* (1954), *La grande guerra* (1959), and *Il vigile* (1960), in which his performance as the mayor alongside Alberto Sordi earned him the Nastro d'Argento for Best Supporting Actor in 1961. In parallel, he had an extensive career as a voice actor, lending his deep voice to international actors such as Spencer Tracy, Charles Laughton, and Burl Ives, solidifying his importance in the Italian entertainment scene.
