Ralph Forbes, born Ralph Forbes Taylor (London, September 30, 1896 – New York, May 31, 1951), was a British stage and screen actor. He began his career on the stage in Great Britain before moving to Hollywood, where he became a prominent figure during the silent film era. His most celebrated role of the period was as John Geste in the adventure film *Beau Geste* (1926). With the advent of sound, Forbes made a successful transition, continuing to play supporting roles in numerous productions, often as an aristocrat or a British officer. His most notable performances during the sound era include those in *The Hound of the Baskervilles* (1939), *The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex* (1939), and *The Picture of Dorian Gray* (1945). Although his career declined in the 1940s, with often uncredited roles, his contribution to the film industry was posthumously recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
