Rami Said Malek, born in Los Angeles on May 12, 1981, is an American actor of Egyptian descent. He began his career with supporting roles in television and film, gaining recognition in the sitcom *The War at Home* and the *Night at the Museum* trilogy as Pharaoh Ahkmenrah. His breakthrough came with the television series *Mr. Robot* (2015–2019), in which his portrayal of the lead character, hacker Elliot Alderson, earned him the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He achieved worldwide recognition in 2018 for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the biopic *Bohemian Rhapsody*.
