Ranibala Devi is an acclaimed Indian actress, considered one of the most influential and prolific figures in Manipuri cinema. Her film career began in the 1970s, debuting in the 1979 film *Olangthagee Wangmadasoo*, which brought her immediate recognition. Over more than four decades, she has starred in over 150 films, demonstrating remarkable versatility in roles ranging from dramatic to comedic and establishing herself as a cultural icon in her region. Her talent has earned her numerous accolades, including multiple Best Actress awards at the Manipur State Film Awards. For her outstanding contribution to the arts, she was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honor, in 2022. She has also received a lifetime achievement award for her enduring and fundamental influence on the regional film industry.
