Raymond Herbert "Ray" Wise is an American actor, best known to the general public for his portrayal of Leland Palmer in the cult television series *Twin Peaks* (1990–1991) and its prequel film, *Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me* (1992), both directed by David Lynch. His prolific career, spanning film, television, and theater, has seen him play numerous character roles.
