Raymond Pellegrin (Nice, January 1, 1925 – Garons, October 14, 2007) was a French actor of Italian origin. An emblematic figure of post-war French cinema, his career spanned over fifty years across theater, film, and television. His extensive filmography, comprising over one hundred titles, saw him play roles of great depth, such as the lead in Sacha Guitry's *Napoléon* (1955) and the memorable part in Jean-Pierre Melville's crime film *Le Deuxième Souffle* (1966). With his deep and unmistakable voice, Pellegrin was also a prolific voice actor, becoming the official French voice of Jean Marais, including for the iconic character of Fantômas. Although he did not receive major awards at top festivals, his recognition lies in his status as an iconic face of French genre cinema, appreciated by audiences for his charisma and strong screen presence, especially in his roles as tough guys and police commissioners.
