Reginald Sheffield, born Matthew Reginald Sheffield Cassan (London, February 18, 1901 – Pacific Palisades, December 8, 1957), was a British actor. He began his career as a child actor in silent film, gaining popularity with the leading role in *Piccadilly Jim* (1919). With the advent of sound, he continued his career in Hollywood, transitioning to playing predominantly character roles. Among his most notable performances is the role of Inspector Lestrade in several films of the Sherlock Holmes series starring Basil Rathbone, such as *The Pearl of Death* (1944) and *Terror by Night* (1946).
