
Rena Mandel
Rena Mandel, born Rena Köstenbaum, was a Polish-born, naturalized American actress, who worked primarily in Italian cinema between the late 1960s and the mid-1970s. She became a familiar face in genre cinema through her appearances in internationally successful films. Her most significant roles include Frieda in Dario Argento's thriller *The Cat o' Nine Tails* (1971) and Countess Ortensia Pulido in the adventure film *Zorro* (1975), directed by Duccio Tessari and starring Alain Delon. Her filmography also includes important Spaghetti Westerns such as *God Forgives... I Don't!* (1967) and *They Call Me Trinity* (1970), where she played one of the Mormon girls. Despite predominantly playing supporting roles, her career is recognized for its contribution to a prolific period of Italian cinema, consolidating her image as a distinctive figure in the cult cinema of the era.
