Renato Malavasi (Verona, August 8, 1904 – Rome, October 7, 1998) was an Italian actor, considered one of the most prolific and recognizable character actors in national cinema. His career, which spanned over fifty years, began in revue theater and vaudeville before he established a permanent presence on the big screen. With a filmography of over 180 films, he specialized in supporting roles, skillfully and ironically portraying figures such as butlers, notaries, hoteliers, and fussy officials.
