
Ricardo Darín
Ricardo Darín, born in Buenos Aires in 1957, is one of the most acclaimed and internationally recognized Argentine actors. His career, which began on television during his adolescence, was established in cinema, where he has distinguished himself with his naturalistic acting style and his ability to portray complex characters. He achieved worldwide fame with roles in highly successful films such as *Nine Queens* (2000), *Son of the Bride* (2001), and especially *The Secret in Their Eyes* (2009), the latter of which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His filmography includes other key works such as *Wild Tales* (2014) and *Argentina, 1985* (2022), both of which were nominated for an Academy Award. Among his many personal accolades, he won the Goya Award for Best Actor for *Truman* (2015) and received the prestigious Donostia Lifetime Achievement Award at the San Sebastián International Film Festival in 2017.
