
Robert Addie
Robert Addie (born Robert Alistair Addie; 10 February 1960 – 20 November 2003) was a British actor trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). He landed his first prominent role in 1981, playing Mordred in John Boorman's film *Excalibur*. His international fame is primarily linked to his role as Sir Guy of Gisbourne in the celebrated television series *Robin of Sherwood* (1984-1986), a performance that earned him a lasting cult following and critical acclaim for his charismatic portrayal of the character. His filmography also includes appearances in *Another Country* (1984) and significant television roles such as James Hewitt in the television film *Diana: Her True Story* (1993). Also active in theatre, where he collaborated with the National Theatre, his career was cut short by his death at the age of 43.
