Robert MacNaughton (New York, December 24, 1966) is an American actor. He is known internationally primarily for his role as Michael, the older brother in Steven Spielberg's film *E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial* (1982). For this performance, he won a Young Artist Award for Best Young Supporting Actor. His acting career, which began in theater, also includes the lead role in the film *I Am the Cheese* (1983) and several television appearances. After gradually stepping away from the screen, he left acting in the late 1980s, working for many years as a postal worker in Arizona. He returned to acting in minor roles starting in 2015, appearing in independent films such as *Laugh Killer Laugh* and *Frankenstein vs. The Mummy*.
