Robert McDarra
Robert McDarra is an Australian actor, born in Toowoomba, Queensland. A graduate of the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), he has built a career primarily in theatre, becoming a leading figure on the Australian stage. He is particularly associated with the Queensland Theatre, for which he has played numerous leading roles. His most acclaimed performances include the role of Oscar Wilde in David Hare's "The Judas Kiss," Ebenezer Scrooge in the musical "Scrooge!," and Malvolio in Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night." Also active in television and film, his stage work has earned him major awards, including a 2006 Helpmann Award for Best Supporting Actor for "The Taming of the Shrew" and several Matilda Awards, which recognize excellence in Queensland theatre.
