Roberto Sorrentino (born in Torre Annunziata on August 14, 1955) is an Italian football manager and former player, who played as a goalkeeper.

A charismatic and skilled goalkeeper, he spent the majority of his career with Catania, a club for which he was captain and a key figure during the 1980s, contributing to a historic promotion to Serie A in the 1982–1983 season. In addition to his long spell with the Sicilian club, he also played for prestigious teams such as Bologna, with which he won the only international trophy of his career, the 1983 Mitropa Cup, and Cagliari, also in the top flight. His playing career also includes stints with clubs like Lazio and Salernitana. After retiring as a player, he embarked on a coaching career, managing several teams primarily in the lower divisions of Italian football. He is the father of Stefano Sorrentino, who also became a successful goalkeeper.
