Gelin is one of the key figures behind the creation and development of the NAO and Pepper robots, which have become global icons in the field of social robotics and human-machine interaction. His work has focused on designing robots capable of interacting with people in an intuitive and natural way, finding applications in sectors such as education, healthcare, and entertainment. He also contributed to the project of the Romeo assistive robot. For his significant contribution to technological innovation, he was awarded the title of Knight of the Legion of Honour, one of the highest decorations of the French Republic. He is also the co-author of scientific publications and popular science books on the topic of robotics.
