
Ron Starr
Ron Starr, born Ronald Starr, was an American comic book artist and illustrator. His career took off in the 1970s, collaborating with major publishers such as Marvel Comics on titles like *Ghost Rider* and *Master of Kung Fu*, as well as with DC Comics. He is best known as the artist of the comic strip *Kelly Green*, created with writer Stan Drake. The series, a crime drama characterized by a realistic and mature style, was distributed internationally from 1981 to 1984. For this work, Starr and Drake received the prestigious Story Comic Strip Award from the National Cartoonists Society in 1983. Subsequently, he also worked on the *Flash Gordon* strip and created illustrations for the advertising industry, always distinguishing himself with a clean line and remarkable attention to detail. His skill in anatomical drawing and the realistic rendering of environments made him a well-regarded figure in the American comics landscape.
