Rupert Crosse (New York City, November 29, 1927 – Nevis, March 5, 1973) was an American actor. He is best known for his performance as Ned McCaslin in the 1969 film *The Reivers*. For this role, he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, becoming one of the first African American actors to receive such a nomination in that category. His film career also includes notable collaborations with director John Cassavetes in the films *Shadows* (1959) and *Too Late Blues* (1961). Also active in television, he co-starred alongside Don Adams in the sitcom *The Partners* (1971–1972) and appeared in numerous popular series of the era. His promising career was cut short by his death from cancer at the age of 45.
