Samantha Mahurin is an American director, screenwriter, and film producer specializing in documentary film. The daughter of the renowned photographer and director Philip Mahurin, she has built an independent career focused on complex and highly topical social issues. She is internationally known primarily for co-directing, alongside Jehane Noujaim, the HBO docu-series "The Vow," an acclaimed investigation into the controversial NXIVM cult, for which she received several Emmy Award nominations. As a producer, she has contributed to works of considerable impact such as "The Great Hack," which explores the Cambridge Analytica scandal and earned BAFTA and Emmy nominations.
