Sandrine Dumas is a French actress, director, and screenwriter. Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, she began her acting career in the 1980s, establishing herself in notable international productions. Her most well-known roles include those in Miloš Forman's *Valmont* (1989) and Krzysztof Kieślowski's *The Double Life of Véronique* (1991). She has also worked in Italian cinema, appearing in Nanni Moretti's *The Son's Room* (2001). Her performance in the film *Quatre étoiles* (2006) earned her a César Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In addition to acting, Dumas has also directed; her documentary *Nostos* (2011), an intimate portrait of her father, Jean-Louis Dumas, was well-received by critics. Her career also extends to the theater, where she has worked as both an actress and a director, confirming her artistic versatility.
