Scott Brady, born Gerard Kenneth Tierney (Brooklyn, September 13, 1924 – Los Angeles, April 16, 1985), was an American actor. Known for his tough-guy roles in numerous Western and film noir movies, his career took off after World War II. His early successes include *He Walked by Night* (1948) and *Canon City* (1948). His most famous role is arguably that of the Dancin' Kid in the cult western *Johnny Guitar* (1954), opposite Joan Crawford. The brother of noted actor Lawrence Tierney, Brady also had a prolific television career, culminating in the lead role in the Western series *Shotgun Slade* (1959-1961). He continued to work steadily in film and television into the 1980s, with appearances in films such as *The China Syndrome* (1979) and *Gremlins* (1984). For his contribution to the television industry, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
