Sergey Murzin is a Russian actor born in Kazan on May 21, 1965. After graduating from the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography, he embarked on a prolific career in both theatre and film. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of the gangster 'Kruglyj' in the cult films *Brother* (1997) and *Brother 2* (2000), directed by Aleksei Balabanov, with whom he also collaborated on other films such as *Cargo 200* (2007). His filmography includes dozens of roles in films and television series, where he often portrays authoritarian or ambiguous characters. Alongside his film work, he has maintained a strong connection to the stage, working for many years at the Lensovet Theatre in Saint Petersburg. For his significant contribution to the arts, in 2011, he was awarded the prestigious title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, one of the highest state honors for an artist in the country.
