Severino Pisacane
Severino Pisacane, born in Salerno in 1956, is an Italian sculptor and painter. Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, he developed an artistic practice focused primarily on figurative sculpture, exploring the human condition and myth through a powerful and expressive language. His exploration of materials leads him to predominantly use bronze, terracotta, and wood. His most notable works include the monumental installation 'Il guardiano del vulcano' and the series 'I giganti', which demonstrate his ability to combine classical tradition with a contemporary sensibility. His career is marked by numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, and his works are held in important public and private collections. Throughout his career, he has received several awards for his artistic contribution, including the 'Scogliera d'Argento' award for sculpture.
