
Shawn Schepps
Shawn Schepps is an American screenwriter, director, and producer who works primarily in film and television. She gained prominence in the 1990s as the co-writer of successful comedies for young audiences, notably *Encino Man* (1992) and *Son in Law* (1993). Her screenwriting career for feature films also includes *Drumline* (2002). Subsequently, she expanded her work into television, serving as a writer and producer for the critically acclaimed series *Weeds*. For her contribution to this production, she earned a Writers Guild of America Award nomination, the most significant recognition of her career. In addition to writing, she made her directorial debut with the feature film *Groupies* (1997), demonstrating considerable versatility in the entertainment industry.
