Shawn Schepps is an American screenwriter, director, and producer who works primarily in film and television. She gained prominence in the 1990s as the co-writer of successful comedies for young audiences, notably *Encino Man* (1992) and *Son in Law* (1993). Her screenwriting career for feature films also includes *Drumline* (2002). Subsequently, she expanded her work into television, serving as a writer and producer for the critically acclaimed series *Weeds*.
