Sibylle Baier
Sibylle Baier is a German singer-songwriter and actress, known for a musical career that emerged decades after the actual recording of her works. Between 1970 and 1974, in Germany, she recorded a series of folk songs on a reel-to-reel tape recorder, intended for private listening. Characterized by a delicate voice, melancholic lyrics, and minimalist acoustic arrangements, these recordings remained unreleased for over thirty years. After moving to the United States and abandoning music to focus on her family, her son Robby assembled the songs into a compilation. This compilation reached the label Orange Twin Records, which released it in 2006 with the title *Colour Green*. The album received immediate and unanimous positive critical acclaim, earning Baier cult status. Although she never pursued a public career, her recognition has grown thanks to the use of songs such as "Tonight" and "I Lost Something in the Hills" in film and television productions. In the 1970s, she also had brief acting experiences in films by Wim Wenders, including *Alice in the Cities*.
