
Simon Bennebjerg
Simon Bennebjerg (born 1989) is a Danish actor. Trained at the Danish National School of Performing Arts, he joined the Royal Danish Theatre immediately after graduating in 2016, where he distinguished himself in leading roles in productions such as 'Hamlet' and 'Penthesilea'. His career later extended to film and television, with roles in productions such as the film 'The Guilty' (2018) and the series 'Borgen – Power & Glory' (2022). His international breakthrough came with the role of the antagonist Frederik de Schinkel in the film 'The Promised Land' (Bastarden, 2023), directed by Nikolaj Arcel. For this acclaimed performance, he received the most prestigious awards in Danish cinema, winning both the Bodil Award and the Robert Award for Best Supporting Actor, consolidating his status as a leading talent on the European acting scene.
