Song Jae-ho (Pyeongyang, March 10, 1937 – Seoul, November 7, 2020) was a prolific South Korean actor. His career, which spanned over six decades, began in 1959 as a voice actor for the broadcaster KBS, before transitioning to film and television acting in 1964. He became one of the most respected figures in his country, known for his exceptional versatility and his portrayal of numerous fatherly and authoritative figures. Internationally, he is best remembered for his roles in acclaimed films such as Bong Joon-ho's *Memories of Murder* (2003), where he played Sergeant Shin Dong-chul, and *The President's Last Bang* (2005). Active until his final years, his extensive filmography includes dozens of films and television series. For his artistic contributions, he received several awards, including the prestigious Baeksang Arts Award for Best TV Actor, solidifying his status as a pillar of South Korean acting.
