
Søren Malling
Søren Malling, born in Kjellerup on February 3, 1964, is a Danish actor who trained at the Odense Theatre School. He gained international recognition for his role as detective Jan Meyer in the critically acclaimed television series *Forbrydelsen* (*The Killing*), which brought him widespread visibility. His television career continued with prominent roles in other globally successful productions such as *Borgen*, where he portrays editor-in-chief Torben Friis, and the drama series *Efterforskningen* (*The Investigation*). On the big screen, he has appeared in notable films such as *A Royal Affair* and delivered a memorable leading performance in the thriller *A Hijacking*. His acting ability has been widely recognized in Denmark, where he has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Bodil Award and several Robert Awards—the country's main film award—in both leading and supporting actor categories.
