Stamatis Gardelis, born on March 22, 1960, is a Greek actor who became one of the icons of national cinema in the 1980s. He debuted in the film *Rakosyllektes* (1979), but achieved widespread popularity by playing roles as a young rebel and romantic lead in highly successful commercial films. Among his most famous works from that period are *Roda, tsanta kai kopana* (1982) and *Kamikazi, agapi mou* (1983), which established him as a symbol for his generation. His career was not limited to teen films; for his intense performance in *Oi Apenanti* (1981), directed by Giorgos Panousopoulos, he received the prestigious award for Best Actor at the Thessaloniki Film Festival.
