Stanisław Jan Milski (Czchów, February 8, 1897 – Warsaw, September 4, 1972) was a Polish theatre actor and director. He began his career on stage, becoming a central figure in post-war Polish theatre. He was a co-founder, director, and actor of the Wybrzeże Theatre in Gdańsk (Teatr Wybrzeże w Gdańsku), making a decisive contribution to its artistic development. In film, he is remembered for his intense performances in key films of the Polish Film School. His most celebrated roles include editor Pieniążek in Andrzej Wajda's *Ashes and Diamonds* (1958) and the protagonist, engine driver Orzechowski, in Andrzej Munk's *Man on the Tracks* (1957). He also appeared in highly successful historical productions such as *Knights of the Teutonic Order* (1960). For his long and influential artistic career, he was awarded major state honours, including the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta and the prestigious State Award (Nagroda Państwowa).
