
Stephanie Morgenstern
Stephanie Morgenstern is a Swiss-born Canadian actress, screenwriter, and director. Born in Geneva and raised in Montreal, she is known to international audiences for voicing the character of Sailor Venus in the English-language version of the anime series *Sailor Moon*. As a film actress, she has appeared in critically acclaimed films such as Atom Egoyan's *The Sweet Hereafter* (1997) and Denis Villeneuve's *Maelström* (2000). Together with her husband Mark Ellis, she has embarked on a prolific career as a television creator and writer. Their most notable creation is the police drama series *Flashpoint* (2008–2012), which achieved great international success and won numerous awards, including several Gemini and Canadian Screen Awards. The couple also created the spy drama series *X Company* (2015–2017), solidifying their reputation in the television landscape. Her work also includes directing award-winning short films, such as *Remembrance*, which demonstrates her artistic versatility behind the camera.
