Stephen McNally, born Horace Vincent McNally (New York, July 29, 1911 – Beverly Hills, June 4, 1993), was an American actor. A lawyer by profession before turning to acting, he began his film career in the 1940s under his real name, playing minor roles for MGM. His breakthrough came with his move to Universal-International, where he adopted his stage name and specialized in portraying character roles, often as tough and authoritative antagonists, but also as positive and complex figures. His most notable performances include Dr. Robert Richardson in the drama *Johnny Belinda* (1948), the villainous outlaw 'Dutch Henry' Brown in the western *Winchester '73* (1950), and the doctor in the film noir *No Way Out* (1950). From the 1960s, his career focused predominantly on the small screen, with appearances in numerous television series. For his role in *Johnny Belinda*, he earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
