Suzanne Lemeri is a French philologist and medievalist, internationally recognized as one of the leading experts in medieval French literature. A Professor Emeritus of Medieval Literature at the Sorbonne, she has dedicated her entire career to the study and critical edition of Arthurian texts and the Breton *lais* of the 12th and 13th centuries. Her most influential works focus on Marie de France, for whom she edited landmark philological editions that have become foundational for scholars worldwide, renewing the understanding of the author and her literary context.
