Tan Chih-Kang
Tan Chih-Kang (1975–2002), in Chinese 譚志剛 (Tán Zhìgāng), was an acclaimed Taiwanese manhua artist, internationally known for his comic book adaptation of the celebrated video game series *The King of Fighters*. His works, particularly the series *The King of Fighters Zillion* and *The King of Fighters 2000*, were praised by critics for their dynamic art style, meticulous attention to detail, and extraordinary ability to depict combat scenes, capturing the essence of the game's characters. Besides his significant contribution to the KOF franchise, another notable example of his talent is the adaptation of *Shen Diao Xia Lü* (*The Legend of Condor Hero*). Considered one of the most promising talents of his generation in the Asian comics landscape, his brilliant career was tragically cut short at the peak of his success by a traffic accident, leaving a significant legacy despite his short life.
