**Teresa Wright (1918-2005)** was an American actress known for her rapid rise in Hollywood. She achieved the rare feat of three Academy Award nominations in just two years: Best Supporting Actress for *The Little Foxes* (1941) and for *Mrs. Miniver* (1942) – winning for the latter – and Best Actress for *The Pride of the Yankees* (1942).
