Tibor Molnár (1921-1982) was a prominent Hungarian actor, an iconic figure in post-war cinema and theater. Known for his intense portrayals of common people, peasants, and workers, he became one of the emblematic faces of Hungarian cinema. His career is inextricably linked to directors such as Zoltán Fábri and Miklós Jancsó, for whom he acted in seminal works. His most celebrated roles include those in Fábri's *Körhinta* (Merry-Go-Round, 1956) and *Húsz óra* (Twenty Hours, 1965), and in Jancsó's masterpieces such as *Szegénylegények* (The Round-Up, 1966) and *Csillagosok, katonák* (The Red and the White, 1967). His versatility allowed him to range from dramatic roles to characters of great moral strength. For his artistic contributions, he received the highest national honors, including the prestigious Kossuth Prize and the Mari Jászai Prize, as well as the titles of Merited Artist and Eminent Artist of the Hungarian People's Republic.
