Tommy Chong

Thomas B. Kin Chong, known as Tommy Chong, is a Canadian-American actor, comedian, musician, and activist, best known for being one-half of the comedy duo Cheech & Chong, alongside Cheech Marin. Starting in the 1970s, the duo achieved international fame through a series of successful comedy albums and films that satirized the hippie counterculture and cannabis use. Their debut film, *Up in Smoke* (1978), became a cult classic. For their recording work, they won a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album in 1974 for *Los Cochinos*. After the duo's breakup, Chong continued his acting career, gaining renewed popularity for his recurring role as Leo on the sitcom *That '70s Show*. He has also voiced characters in animated films such as *Zootopia*. He is also a well-known activist for cannabis legalization, a central theme in much of his artistic work.
