
Tony Shalhoub
Tony Shalhoub is an American actor of Lebanese descent, known for his versatility across television, film, and theater. He first gained prominence playing taxi driver Antonio Scarpacci in the 1990s sitcom *Wings*. His international breakthrough came with the role of Adrian Monk, the brilliant detective with obsessive-compulsive disorder in the series *Monk* (2002-2009), for which he won three Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. His film career includes roles in movies such as *Men in Black*, *Galaxy Quest*, and collaborations with the Coen brothers, as well as voicing the character of Luigi in the *Cars* franchise. Also active on stage, he won a Tony Award in 2018 for the musical *The Band's Visit*. Recently, he won another Emmy for his performance as Abe Weissman in the series *The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel*, confirming his status as a critically acclaimed actor across various entertainment fields.
