Val Edward Kilmer, born in Los Angeles on December 31, 1959, is an American actor. Trained at the prestigious Juilliard School, he made his feature film debut in the comedy *Top Secret!* (1984) but achieved international fame playing Tom "Iceman" Kazinsky in the cult film *Top Gun* (1986). His career peaked in the 1990s, during which he delivered critically acclaimed performances such as his portrayals of Jim Morrison in *The Doors* (1991) and Doc Holliday in *Tombstone* (1993). In the same decade, he played Bruce Wayne in *Batman Forever* (1995) and starred in *Heat* (1995), demonstrating great versatility.
