Veda Ann Borg
Veda Ann Borg (1915-1973) was an American actress, known for her prolific career as a character actress in film and television. She began her career in the 1930s after working as a model, securing a contract with Paramount Pictures. A serious car accident in 1939 required extensive facial reconstruction, but the event did not halt her rise. Specializing in roles as the "other woman," cynical blondes, and characters with dark pasts, she became a familiar face in B-movies of the 1940s and 1950s. Among her more than 100 film appearances are *The Falcon in Hollywood* (1944), a memorable role in *Mildred Pierce* (1945), and *Guys and Dolls* (1955). Beginning in the 1950s, she also worked extensively in television, appearing in popular series such as *Alfred Hitchcock Presents* and *Adventures of Superman*. While she never achieved the status of a leading star, she is recognized as one of the most versatile and reliable character actresses of her era.
