Virginia Grey (1917-2004) was an American actress whose prolific career spanned five decades, from the silent film era to the 1970s. The daughter of director Ray Grey, she began her career as a child actress before signing a contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, establishing herself as a versatile and reliable supporting actress. Appearing in over 100 films and dozens of television series, she worked across various genres, often playing the roles of the loyal friend, the protagonist's rival, or the central figure in B-movies. Her most significant performances include roles in *Another Thin Man* (1939), Douglas Sirk's melodrama *All That Heaven Allows* (1955), *The Rose Tattoo* (1955), and the disaster film *Airport* (1970), one of her last major roles. For her long and consistent contribution to the film industry, she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
